In Memoriam - Charlton Heston

Charlton Heston 1923-2008

Charlton Heston was an American actor of film, theater and television. Heston is known for having played heroic roles, such as Moses in The Ten Commandments, Colonel George Taylor in Planet of the Apes and Judah Ben-Hur in Ben-Hur, for which he won the Academy Award for Best Actor. In the 1950s and 1960s he was one of a handful of Hollywood actors to speak openly against racism and was an active supporter of the Civil Rights Movement. Initially a liberal Democrat, he later supported conservative politics and was president of the National Rifle Association from 1998 to 2003.

What can I say Chuck, you were a legend and a hero to many people. You made some of the sweetest Sci-Fi movies of all time and you where a loin cloth better than any actor I have ever seen. I'm sure heaven will be a big adjustment for you but I am sure you will have no problem becoming just as prolific up there as you were down here. Take care sir and maybe one day our path's will cross. I will at that time have to call up Ryan because he would kill me if I didn't give him the opportunity to meet his hero. Anyways, you will be greatly missed.

Also, in the words of that horrible Dane Cook movie, "Good luck Chuck".

Dane Cook: The biggest bust since the Geico cave men got their own sitcom. If his post stand up career was any less funny he would be Carrot Top.
